Cylinders designed to safely contain 907 kg of chlorine gas throughout the supply chain. They are rigorously inspected at more than 20 stages of manufacture. The superior fusion welding process is used for all joints (including head-to-body joints), full-penetration groove fusion welding (CJP) of longitudinal and circumferential seams, with post-weld heat treatment at 1130°F for 60 minutes (manufacturing methodologies far superior to forge welding), as well as angle welding techniques.
The S10k™ chlorinator operates under vacuum (negative pressure) and is regulated by a control unit with a V-Notch™ knob, which provides highly accurate chlorine gas dosing.
The automatic version of the S10k chlorinator is mounted on a panel next to an electric positioner that receives a 4-20 mA signal from a SCADA system and/or from an electronic residual free chlorine and/or proportional flow controller. It has a 5-inch rotameter and a capacity of up to 10 kg/h (500 lb/day) of chlorine gas.
