They are rigorously inspected at more than 20 stages of manufacture. The superior fusion welding process is used for all joints (including head-to-body joints), full-penetration fusion welding (CJP) of longitudinal and circumferential seams, with post-weld heat treatment at 1130°F for 60 minutes (manufacturing methodologies far superior to forge welding), as well as angle welding techniques.
